Experience in this video a unique method that is used even in project management: The LEGO SERIOUS PLAY Method. Marc Vandyck, an experienced Agile consultant, shares his journey into the world of Agile working and how he integrates LEGO SERIOUS PLAY into his work.

The parallels between LEGO SERIOUS PLAY, agile working, and agile methods are explained in this video, including how the method is used in short cycles with clients to develop solutions to problems. The method involves building models with LEGO bricks as answers to questions and then explaining the story using the model, ensuring that each person’s perspective or view is heard and understood.

One of the most important aspects of project management is retrospective. Marc shows how he transformed the classic retrospective, which took about 2.5 hours, into a much more efficient retrospective using the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method. The participants develop their own models, here, for example, answers to the question of how they perceive the last sprint. They then merge the individual models into a unified model to develop a view of the sprint that is shared by every participant.

Another example of how Marc uses the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method is a retrospective in a company to understand the motivation and contributions of the employees. This involved developing a shared vision in the form of a LEGO model. Their statement was that they want to make all the company’s customers shine.

Learn how Marc uses the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method to support the growth of Scrum teams, to bring the motivation, goals and vision of individuals, as well as teams, to the table. See how you can solve projects in a fun way by integrating the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method into your work.
