Revolutionary method for effective collaboration at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM)

💥 BAM – Briques Autour du Monde 🌍 – Episode 001

Our first invitee is Ph. D., associate professor in the Department of Management and Technology at the School of Management Sciences at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Simon presents how he uses LEGO SERIOUS PLAY in teaching, research in university, private and public organizations.

Have you ever dreamed of working more effectively and creatively in your meetings? Have you ever wished that every participant had the same voice and time to express their thoughts and ideas? If you answered yes to these questions, then the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method is exactly what you need. The method, used at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) by Professor Ph. D. Simon Bourdeau, guarantees 100% communication and improves effective collaboration.

One of the greatest advantages of the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method is the use of LEGO bricks as a tool for visualising ideas and concepts. This facilitates understanding of different perspectives and leads to better agreement. Working with the hands and using LEGO bricks activates different parts of the brain and promotes both creativity and the rediscovery of forgotten skills.

Professor Ph.D. Simon Bourdeau uses the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method in his university courses, challenging participants to think creatively and communicate with each other. In his pedagogical approach, he provides students with real-life experiences from the world of work and gives them a better understanding of everyday work in real organisations.

A study Simon conducted with others looked at whether using LEGO bricks in interface design can be more creative than traditional methods. The study was conducted at the Technology Lab at HEC in Montréal and showed that using LEGOs can indeed be more creative.

You won’t believe how easy it is to understand and solve complex processes when you use the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method. Don’t wait any longer, watch the video and learn more about this revolutionary method to help teams to have a really effective collaboration.

💥BAM – Briques Autour du Monde 🌍 shows the diversity of industries and cultures that use this method in a webinar series. The aim is to promote the spread of this method in the Francophone region. Here, Francophone facilitators from a wide range of countries are invited to share their experiences and applications of the method. Each episode will feature a different guest who will give a short presentation and respond to questions from the audience.

The founders of the series are the facilitators Laetitia Ramberti (French and Italian), Matthias Renner (German) and Nadia Benedetti (Italian). All three trained as facilitators in the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY Method at the Association of Master Trainers in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method.
