Association of Master Trainers in the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY Method

In 2010, Robert Rasmussen and Per Kristiansen, the developers of the method, founded the Association of Master Trainers in the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY Method. The purpose of the Association is to establish and maintain global quality standards for LEGO SERIOUS PLAY training. The aim is to prevent dilution of the method and to develop existing standards. All trainers affiliated with the Association of Master Trainers are carefully selected. They undergo a multi-year qualification programme to teach the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method to new facilitators.
This unique training programme was developed by Robert Rasmussen and Per Kristiansen in 2001 and has been continuously adapted and improved. The trainers in the Association of Master Trainers are the only ones authorised to offer LEGO SERIOUS PLAY in the current version, LEGO SERIOUS PLAY 2.0.

In addition to certifying its facilitators, AOMT is committed to the ongoing education and support of its members. Its rigorous standards and close collaboration with its members ensure that anyone working with a certified trainer receives the best possible LSP experience and training quality.

Origins and vision

In 2010, LEGO had plans to discontinue both the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY sets and the method itself. After an outcry from the facilitator community at the time, LEGO decided to release the existing state of the method as open source. In response, Robert Rasmussen and Per Kristiansen founded the Association of Master Trainers in the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY Method, which offers comprehensive and high-quality training.
